Since 2015, Kobzar has lived in Kyiv, where he began his solo career, combining the kobzar tradition with acoustic rock. Since 2019, he has actively studied the traditions of well-known kobzars and performs on the old-style kobza.
Kobzar is the author of the poetry collection “Metro Within Us” (2017) and founded the YouTube channel “Kobzari Media” in 2021, where he covers Ukrainian history and kobzar traditions. In 2022, he released the demo album “Nine Quanta” in collaboration with Yurii Yahusevych.
Currently, he resides in Irpin, overseeing the memorial estate of Mykola Budnyk and crafting musical instruments. He is a member of the Kyiv Kobzar Guild and a disciple of Oles Sanin and Volodymyr Kushpet.
